Role Overview
As a Risk Assistant (RA) Intern, you will help implement Nethermind’s Risk framework, identifying internal and external threats that could impact operations, investments, and reputation. You will facilitate workshops, oversee risk assessments, maintain the Risk Register, and recommend improvements to strengthen our risk management processes.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Risk framework to identify and mitigate risks related to:
- Operations: Underperforming resources, personnel liabilities, inefficiencies, and safety risks.
- Finance: Credit risks, investments, and portfolio inefficiencies.
- Reputation: Marketing errors, private data disclosures, and compliance breaches.
- Maintain assessment templates to ensure compliance with global, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Conduct workshops, review standard operating procedures, and gather internal and external data for risk analysis.
- Prepare detailed risk reports with recommendations for leadership to mitigate potential threats.
Requirements
- Interest in financial, operational, and regulatory risk management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of risk analysis, database management, and risk metrics.
- Confident presenter with strong interpersonal skills for running workshops.
- Proficiency in computer systems and networks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or risk management.
