About the Role
LawnStarter is seeking a Remote Sales Phone Agent with experience in phone-based sales and fluency in both spoken and written English. This is a work-from-home opportunity with a call center-style environment, ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic and a distraction-free workspace.
This role begins as a seasonal position (Feb – Sept) but has the potential to transition into a long-term role based on performance. We provide comprehensive training at the start and ongoing training throughout the season to ensure your success in handling calls.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound warm calls (approximately 200 calls per week).
- Engage with customers to explain our lawn care services platform, provide estimates, and successfully book and upsell recurring services.
- Close sales over the phone while overcoming objections and utilizing strong persuasion skills.
- Work within our operating hours:
- Monday-Friday: 7 AM – 12 AM CST
- Saturday-Sunday: 8 AM – 10 PM CST
- Shifts: Up to 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (maximum 40 hours).
Qualifications
- Strong ability to build rapport with customers and provide excellent service.
- Proven experience in closing sales over the phone and achieving sales targets.
- Adaptability to changes and willingness to accept feedback.
- High productivity while adhering to defined proficiency levels and schedules.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Experience: At least 2 years in the BPO industry preferred.
- Technical Requirements:
- Computer (laptop or desktop) with 8GB RAM, Core i5 Processor, and a noise-canceling headset.
- Stable internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps, backup 10 Mbps).
- Consistent power source with backup solutions.
- Quiet, distraction-free workspace.
- Preferred ISPs: PLDT (#1) or Converge (#2).
- Availability to work US hours, weekends, and rotating shifts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: $5/hour
- Performance-Based Commission: Earn an additional $1 to $4 per hour based on sales success.
