About the Role
As the Developer Community Manager, you’ll lead our AI developer community, fostering engagement, support, and collaboration. You’ll manage platforms, create content, organize events, and serve as a bridge between the community and our internal teams. The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for developers, with a strong technical background and a desire to help the community thrive.

What You Will Do

• Community Engagement: Engage with the AI developer community across forums, social media, and other channels to foster an inclusive and active environment. Provide support, answer questions, and encourage knowledge sharing.
• Event Management: Plan and execute events such as hackathons, workshops, and webinars. Work with internal and external teams to create valuable experiences.
• Feedback Loop: Represent the community within the company by gathering feedback and collaborating with product, engineering, and support teams to address community needs.
• Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on community engagement, sentiment, and growth. Use insights to optimize strategies and highlight the impact of community initiatives.
• Advocacy & Outreach: Build relationships with influencers and advocates in the AI community. Promote our platform’s capabilities via social media, community channels, and public speaking.
• Content Creation: Develop technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, and webinars to educate and inspire the community on the best practices of using our platform.

What You’ll Need

• Community Building: Experience engaging with technical audiences, including developers and startups.
• Technical Background: Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or software development, and ability to create technical content for developers.
• Community Management Experience: Proven track record managing technical communities or in roles such as developer relations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse audience.
• Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple projects and events with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive in identifying community needs and finding creative solutions.
• Passion for AI: Enthusiasm for AI and a commitment to helping others succeed in their AI projects.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with speech-to-text or related AI technologies.
• Experience with developer tools, APIs, SDKs, and technical documentation.
• Experience in a startup environment.

Pay Transparency
AssemblyAI offers competitive salaries based on experience, skill level, and internal equity. For U.S. candidates, the salary range is $130k – $150k USD/year. For candidates outside the U.S., adjustments to the range may be made during the interview process.
