Whom We Are Looking For:
Think Academy US seeks a Part-time Remote Math Teacher to educate lower elementary school students (Pre-K to 2nd grade). As a remote teacher, you will be expected to grasp math concepts, prepare lessons aligned with Think Academy’s curriculum, deliver engaging and age-appropriate math instruction, and use various teaching methods to accommodate diverse student needs.
What You Will Do:
- Teach elementary-level mathematics remotely via the Think Academy Teaching Platform.
- Actively manage and engage an online classroom of up to 18 students.
- Prepare and deliver lessons using Think Academy’s curriculum and guidance.
- Grade homework and provide essential teaching-related services.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents, offering personalized feedback.
- Work 12-20 hours per week, mainly on weekends or weekday afternoons.
How You Can Be Qualified:
- Bachelor’s degree or above; all majors considered, with a preference for Education or STEM-related fields.
- Applicants who are currently pursuing or in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply.
- Prior math teaching experience is not required but is a plus.
- Experience with elementary math competition learning or teaching is an advantage.
- Commitment to teaching for at least one full semester starting from the 2024 Summer semester (Summer: June – August; Fall: August – December; Spring: January – May).
- Availability and willingness to work during weekday evenings and weekends.
- Passionate about teaching and education, with strong responsibility and a love for working with kids.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay Range:
- $40/hr; teachers will be assigned approximately 3 – 7 classes per week.
- Pay Structure: Teaching Fee * Number of Classes + Student Retention Bonus (Targeted at 15% of Teaching Fee) + Training Allowance.
