Job Description:
- As an Accounting Assistant, you will work closely with a senior accountant to support day-to-day financial operations.
- Your primary responsibility will be maintaining accurate financial records, handling basic bookkeeping tasks, and assisting in preparing reports to ensure our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain digital filing systems for financial documentation.
- Assist the senior accountant with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Candidates should possess minimum of an OND / HND / B.Sc Degrees in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience: 1 – 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (internships count!).
Skills:
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Bonus: Experience working remotely.
