Govuni is seeking a passionate and motivated Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This is a fully remote work opportunity, allowing you to make an impact from anywhere. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies that engage with various communities and stakeholders in support of our mission. Your primary focus will be to build strong relationships with local organizations, educational institutions, and community leaders, enhancing Govuni’s visibility and fostering partnerships.
You will plan and execute virtual and in-person outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions to promote our programs, resources, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, a deep understanding of community dynamics, and the ability to collaborate with diverse groups—all while thriving in a remote work environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach initiatives to promote Govuni’s programs and services in a remote work setting.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and local leaders.
- Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person events, workshops, and information sessions to engage community members.
- Assist in creating promotional materials and digital content for outreach efforts.
- Collect feedback and insights from the community to inform outreach strategies and programs.
- Represent Govuni at community events and meetings (both remote and in-person) to advocate for educational opportunities.
- Monitor and report on outreach activities, evaluating the effectiveness of programs.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, social work, or education.
- Proven experience in community outreach, engagement, or related roles.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills to connect with diverse groups.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for community development and enhancing educational access.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events.
- Comfort and proficiency working in a remote work environment.
